Location: Downtown Washington, DC and Midtown Manhattan, New York, NY.  Candidates from either area will be considered.
Hours/FTE: Full Time, Permanent
Travel: Frequent travel between DC and NYC

The Area: Outsourced IT & Managed Services

Our small-to-medium business (SMB) customers outsource some or all of their IT support needs to us, as we offer greater coverage, depth of IT experience and skill, and a support infrastructure at a cost lower than doing it in-house. We become accountable to the customer for the reliability, security, and accessibility of their IT infrastructure, and for facilitating the resolution to any IT issue. We do it through an excellent team and a well-established set of tools and partnerships that allow us to provide comprehensive network monitoring and management, remote Helpdesk services, hardware and software resale, systems design, implementation, and integration. 

The Role: Director of Network Services

Partners International is looking for a highly-experienced technical manager to assume an executive-level position as head of the Network Services division.  The Director of Network Services is responsible for management of all division staff and operations in both Washington, DC and New York, NY, and is ultimately accountable for the delivery of high-quality, service-oriented services to our Network Services client-base.  The successful candidate will have management experience, have operated in a consulting environment, and possess a strong technical skill set to design projects and mentor engineering staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on management of Network Services staff and Account Management teams; assure progressive staff development through evaluations, training, and mentoring.
  • Maintain service delivery methodology, and undertake a continuous process improvement approach appropriate to enhancing managed services.
  • Personally assure customer satisfaction across the client-base.
  • Provide quantitative and qualitative reporting regarding division performance to Management Team.
  • Set divisional revenue targets and budget to maintain consistent profitability.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing division to develop Network Services.
  • Manage teams to provide excellent technical project designs appropriate for client-base.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in hands-on technical and IT management roles, with a track record of developing and executing IT strategy for small- to medium-size organizations
  • 3+ years experience in direct management of technical staff
  • Experience working in an IT consulting capacity, particularly in a managed service environment
  • Excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills; experience working with C-level individuals; Detail- and process-orientation
  • Strong technical background, including Windows platforms and servers, networking concepts and troubleshooting; certifications a plus
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and positive attitude
